Healthy Junkies:
Critically acclaimed London-based punk rock and grunge band known for their energetic, theatrical performances and raw, gritty sound. Formed in 2009 by French-born vocalist Nina Courson and guitarist Phil Honey-Jones, the band also includes Dave Whitmore on bass and David Gaut on drums. Since their live debut supporting Goldblade and Viv Albertine in 2010, Healthy Junkies have released six studio albums, including their latest, 'Listen To The Mad'. Beyond the standout songwriting, Nina’s commanding vocal presence and Phil’s guitar work, laced with hints of Sonic Youth and Nirvana, what truly sets them apart are their music videos. Visually inventive and consistently compelling, the videos are clearly where much of their creative energy is focused. With over 25 videos to date, their YouTube channel is well worth a visit. They have toured extensively across Europe, the UK, and the US, building a loyal following. These will be Healthy Junkies debut Poland shows & first time in Central Europe.
Their music blends punk, glam, grunge, and psychedelic influences, earning praise for its blistering, trashy, punky glam rock sound. Nina’s sultry vocals have been compared to icons like Chrissie Hynde and Patti Smith, while their sound merges gothic, glam, and psychedelic sensibilities with a modern twist.
Active supporters of the underground punk scene, Courson and Honey-Jones also ran the renowned ‘Punk and Roll Rendezvous’ club night in Camden Town, which grew into an international event with its own annual festival. Healthy Junkies have shared stages with punk legends such as The Buzzcocks, Sham 69, and UK Subs, and frequently appear at major festivals like Rebellion and Camden Rocks.

Sam Jones:
Sam played his first foreign show in Poland in Poznań in 2007. Nearly a decade later, during his first and second European tours in 2016, he returned to Poland and chose to relocate there permanently after meeting his Polish fiancée. Between 2017 and 2018, Sam fronted Angry Town, possibly the only Polish band led by a British singer. Angry Town notably supported well-known Polish acts Kobranocka and Koniec Świata. Sam’s ongoing work under the Angry Town name led to the release of the 'Sister Of The Storm' music video, directed by Wojciech Budny. In 2022, Angry Town performed as a stripped-down two-piece, supporting Sham 69 during the Polish leg of their European tour. The following year saw the release of 'No Second Chance' a compilation that served as their debut album, featuring earlier recordings by Jones, later performed by Angry Town, alongside guest appearances and official Angry Town tracks. Though Sam now lives in North Wales, he spends several months each year in Toruń, maintaining close ties with the country.
During his London years, Sam earned several badges of honour, including recording with punk icons Brian James of The Damned and Charlie Harper of UK Subs. Shortly after moving to Poland, he participated in photoshoots for the clothing brand Relco London in Poznań and Toruń. Sam is somewhat of an anomaly in the music world, rejecting many traditional expectations and formalities. As a solo performer, he has supported Michael Jackson's ex-guitarist Jennifer Batten and USA ex-pat Moriah Woods in Poland.
A prolific songwriter, Sam has written over 100 songs, much of which he has released through his 'Retrospective' album series. He’s performed across more than 10 European countries, steadily expanding his international footprint. In 2021, he completed a solo tour of Poland and is now gearing up for new projects with a refreshed Angry Town lineup, alongside upcoming music and his 'Songs & Storytelling' events around the country. Recently, he’s been active on the UK pub circuit and has added regular shows in the Netherlands, further strengthening his European connections.
